Photography opens up a world of beauty and remembrance for those little moments we will soon forget, to be hung up on our walls shared with our friends. For me, photography has turned those beautiful fleeting moments into a shot that will last a lifetime. Whether it's setting up a studio for a headshot or going on a scenic hike, that magic moment where everything comes together and the shot is just right, there’s nothing better.
I see filmmaking as a way of channeling emotion, art and beauty into one medium. I started off as someone who was simply obsessed with watching films and how they made me feel, to someone who creates films and spends a lot of time continually improving my craft. If there's one thing I can say I'm sure of, is that I wouldn’t want to be climbing the ladder through any other career. Growing up, I was overwhelmed with what the world had to offer, I couldn’t understand how I could choose just one career path when the world seemed so infinite. But as Robert Altman once said, “Filmmaking is a chance to live many lifetimes.”
